Welcome to the world of Bob
Update 12/18/07
Hah hah, paranoiac believers! Be on the lookout for two brand spanking new Bob pages. About damn time, right. Am I right? Let me get a hell yeah, amen freaking men on that one. Two more pages means we're that much closer to a conclusion of out friend Bob's foray into self-enlightened confessionally motivated instruction. And when he's done? You'll have all the information at your own, sick little fingertips to go out and beat the bible and teach others the subtle ways of our lord, Bob. Cheers!
Bob started out as a short story that went awry... there was simply too much to be told. So, with a nod here, and an expletive there, Mitch Massey and myself put our heads together and decided, hell, why not do up a comic series?
So, here we are... a few months later with a bit of sleepless night-terrors thrown in, we're ready to relinquish our personal holding on the creation now known as 'bob.' we truly hope you enjoy, and perhaps, can relate.
so, what is bob all about? Good question, really. no, really. most simply put, bob is a serial cleanser. his task is to eliminate portions of society that don't particularly fit into his interpretation. he is of the belief that he had worked for a higher power, an organization that has a master list of approved societal functionaries, and he used to cleanse on their behalf. now, he has gone rogue, and uses his own judgment for determining jobs. whether or not this is reality, we'll find out.
Bob, The Cover Concept

The idea for the following character development was a heroine. Someone a tad smarter and more adept than our soon to be discovered average victim. I thought she came out quite well.
This next one is another test for a potential victim. I like how mitch has placed bob in the shadowed woods behind her. I like to think bob hasn't made contact yet, but then how to explain the slipped shirt revealing her breast? Ya got me on that one...
"Hello, Bob."
We really wanted to give bob a clean cut, average joe type of look, and when I mentioned a bit of southern bible preacher, mitch took the idea and ran with it. it's how bob will stand under most conditions.
we were conceptualizing over the phone as to what his facial features should consist of, whether he should be comic orientated of more realist. In the end, mitch did a great job of incorporating exactly the feel we were going for. Ever hear of normalman from aardvark? Yeah, I think it worked well...
